Founded in Reisterstown in 1989, Open Space is an interdisciplinary arts center using art-making to bring people together in community.  We offer free art classes to middle school and high school students.  We perform several theatrical productions a year, usually involving paper mache masks or creative costuming.

Open Space Mission Statement:

We are artists, educators, parents, and community members who are dedicated to fostering a safe space where families can come together and create amazing art. We produce original and high quality art that functions both to build self-esteem for the participants and be genuinely thought-provoking for the audience. We pride ourselves on providing free or low-cost programming, so that art remains, as it should be, for everyone.
